We’re recruiting for a talented Quality Assurance Engineer II to perform functionality, compatibility, integration, and regression testing on multiple platforms of designated modules of our product. The ideal candidate is an energetic, intellectually-curious, “get things done” engineer who works well in a team environment. This position reports to our Director of Quality Assurance.

This is a 3-6 month contract with the possibility for conversion. It works at our Pasadena headquarters.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Create, maintain, write and execute test plans and test cases
• Generate test execution reports to management and the product team.
• Participating in bug review processes including identifying, documenting and following through on bugs through the defect lifecycle.
• Participating in design and specification reviews
• Actively participate in daily Scrums and project planning meetings
• Maintain and deploying builds to the test environment
• Support other QA team members (as needed)

QUALIFICATIONS:

• 3-5+ years QA experience including white box testing, with solid understanding and experience in SQA methodologies, techniques and approaches
• BS/BA in Computer Science, Applied Math or Business Administration or equivalent experience
• Strong Blackbox testing experience
• Experience with bug tracking tools (JIRA a plus)
• Strong Front-End Web Services and/or GUI testing
• Experience with SQL (Oracle)
• Knowledgeable about most Internet browsers (IE6, 7 & 8, FF3, Safari 4)
• Knowledgeable about Windows & Linux operating systems
• Ability to read specifications and produce various test plans
• Experience writing test scripts and executing automated test cases
• Capable of multi-tasking and  ability to manage small projects
• Solid written and verbal communication skills a must!

 PREFERRED SKILLS:

• Understanding of build processes
• Experience along with a strong passion for Scrum a plus
• Some Automation experience(preferably with open-source tools)
• Subversion
• Oracle
• JMeter
