| Responsibilities: |
RESPONSIBILITIES: - Develop applications for a high volume consumer website for a high-profile, nationally recognized, very profitable, pre-IPO internet company
- Participate in the development of the next generation SOA and Event based architectures
- Develop and support common web services for messaging, content management, users, permissions, payment, photos, etc.
- Develop and support common frameworks for development in: Mule, Spring, Hibernate, Grid/Hadoop, WebLogic and Oracle
- Research new technologies such as grid computing, social networking, future languages and future web development, etc.
- Develop standards for code reviews and architecture for the organization

| Qualifications: |
QUALIFICATIONS: - 7-10+ years of software development experience, preferably with high-transaction Internet companies.
- Excellent understanding of OOD and OOP
- Fundamental Java skills (Java EE 5, and Java SE 5+)
- Understanding of asynchronous, message-based systems (JMS, SEDA)
- Understanding of lightweight container technologies such as: Jetty
- Familiarity with web service-based technologies such as: SOAP (JAX-WS/RPC and WSDL), REST, Spring Remoting
- Familiarity with distributed cache/store architectures such as Voldemort.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-effort, dynamic work environment
- Strong technical and design skills
- Fast learner of new and emerging technologies
- Self-motivated with the ability to drive features to delivery
- Experience developing high volume services
- Excellent written and verbal communication, presentation, and listening skills with the ability to present complex technical information in a clear and concise manner to a variety of audiences, including non-technical
- Ability to participate in a cross-functional team environment
- BS in Computer Science or equivalent work experience
